Practice Description

Marie is a French national, qualified as a French Notaire from the University of Paris Dauphine. Marie provides practical and focused advice on French conveyancing including cross-border tax advice on structures of ownership, cross-border estate planning with respect to the EU Succession Regulation, and on the administration of French estates. She works closely with French notaires and enable them to have an efficient relationship with their UK based clients, by converting French notaire concepts into equivalent English concepts.

Through her experience on both sides of the Channel, Marie has acquired a total understanding and knowledge of both the French and English devolution law and tax law of private client. It allows Marie to be in the best position to understand the complexity of each situation and to tailor the right solutions, hand in hand with our clients and their main British advisors.

 Marie is used to work closely with notaires, estate agents, banks, accountants and other advisors for the best interest of our clients.

Career

Marie has more than 10 years’ experience, practising in the UK and France, and worked for 5 years in a large firm of notaires in Paris. She then moved to London and joined The French Law Practice in October 2013.

Education and Bar

Admittance Marie was born in France, completing all her law study in the University of Paris X and Paris Dauphine. She graduated as a French Notaire in March 2013.
